1. Date of announcement ___16th June 2025_______________
2. Each year the annual accounts are audited by the Auditor General for Wales. Prior to this date,
any interested person has the opportunity to inspect and make copies of the accounts and all
books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts etc rela????ng to them for 20 working days
on reasonable no????ce. For the year ended 31 March 2024, these documents will be available
on reasonable no????ce on applica????on to:
Hay Town Clerk, The Council Offices, Brecon Road, Hay on Wye, HR3 5DY
or via email to
townclerk@haytowncouncil.gov.uk
between the hours of 9.30 and 2.30 on Wednesday to Friday
commencing on 01 July 2025
and ending on 28 July 2025
3. From 12 September 2024, un????l the audit has been completed, Local Government Electors and
their representa????ves also have:
? the right to ques????on the Auditor General about the accounts.
? the right to a????end before the Auditor General and make objec????ons to the accounts or
any item in them. Wri????en no????ce of an objec????on must first be given to the Auditor
General. A copy of the wri????en no????ce must also be given to the council.
